The Good Berger: Community Colleges should say NO to illegals

Phil_berger_2201_2 State Senator Phil Berger, known to your blogger as Raleigh's "Good Berger" (vs. the "Bad Berger, Doug -Franklin), says there is no need for a study.

He disagrees with the North Carolina Board of Community Colleges' decision to hire a consultant to study whether or not the State should allow should allow illegal immigrants to attend our North Carolina's 58 taxpayer-funded community colleges.

Berger (R-Rockingham) wrote a letter last week to the Board urging them to vote against admitting illegal immigrants.  In it he stated "Illegal immigrants should not be rewarded with the benefit of admission to our taxpayer-supported community colleges.  Democrats should deal with this issue now and not use an expensive, taxpayer-funded study as an excuse to wait until after the November election.

He added that the 'study' is a "tremendous waste of money".  Katy's Conservative Corner agrees.  Your blogger believes in good, old fashioned, fiscal conservatism.  Bravo Sen. Phil!
