Col. Charles B. Marcom III (USMCR), Brother of longtime conservative activist DeWitt

Usmc_logo4 Many of you know longtime GOP and conservative activist, Sheila Talton Dewitt. 

On July 4th, at the age of 59, her brother Col. Charles B. Marcom III, USMCR, passed away.  Charlie was a Vietnam veteran and was like a parent to Sheila.

Shiela has worked for conservative causes and candidates for years, and was a mentor to your blogger. 

Visitation: Tuesday, July 8, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, in Raleigh

Funeral: Wednesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at Brown Wynne Funeral Home.

Graveside Services: Wednesday, July 9, 12:30 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetary.

Katy's Conservative Corner passes along thoughts and prayers to Sheila and wishes to posthumously thank Charlie (and all veterans) for their service to our nation.  It is fitting that he passed on July 4th, after a life of service to a nation that he loved.
