Rep. Patrick McHenry may have just had his “macaca moment.”
On a photo opportunity trip to Baghdad, North Carolina’s 10th district congressman, a Republican from Cherryville, was denied access to a Green Zone gym by a security guard.
The self-absorbed politician was incensed that a guard in a war zone failed to recognize him as an important congressman even if he did not have the appropriate identification.
So, when McHenry got home, he told a gathering at a recent Lincoln County Republican dinner how he’d been stopped by a “two-bit security guard.”

Editor's Note: McHenry has a huge target painted on his back by Democrat leaders on the national scene. Further, some Republicans have even deemed him unfit for office.
Whatever your view, KCC feels that McHenry should not have been making such comments to any audience. McHenry was blessed to be in the war zone and the security worked overtime to protect him.
KCC urges him to retract his statements and issue an apology to all Americans serving their nation abroad, whether they are "two bit security" or not.
McHenry is being challenged in the 10th District GOP primary by Lance Sigmon. Sigmon served our nation proudly as both an enlistee in the and as a JAG officer in the US Air Force.
