A recent headline in the Raleigh News and Observer stated: "Raleigh wants waiver to discharge more non-treated sewage into the Neuse River."
Raleigh wants and then wants more:
- Raleigh wants the Dix property.
- Raleigh wants more corporate offices downtown.
- Raleigh wants more lanes on I-440.
- Raleigh wants more jobs.
- Raleigh wants more roads.
- Raleigh wants everything for Raleigh, and then wants that which flows downhill to continue flowing downhill.
I live downhill from Raleigh and the Capital's cesspools reek of corruption, greed and arrogance. Dix belongs to every N.C. citizen and should never become a destination park for Raleigh.
It is time for Raleigh to think of itself as belonging to all, and not an elite few who deem themselves deserving of everything they want.
