7/28/07 Action Alert: Presidental Electors By District

Action Alert 

My fellow North Carolinians, please call your State House Representative this morning, (yes, a Saturday morning), and urge them to vote against Senate Bill 353.

The bill, short titled "Presidential Electors by District", would change the way electors would be selected in North Carolina and goes against what the framers of the Constitution had in mind for our nation.

In this bill, electors would change from their current selection process to being chosen by Congressional District. That wouldn't be so bad if our Congressional Districts were not gerrymandered by our liberal NC General Assembly. These electors are the people who cast the actual votes for President and Vice President of the United States.

If you do not know who your state representative is, please click here. You can scroll down the screen and enter your zip code to help you find your elected official. It's urgent that you do this on Saturday morning! 

This bill is co-sponsored by Sen. Doug Berger of Franklin County. Berger, a virtual communist, has been allowed to get away with too much in the General Assembly, thanks to the stranglehold by the liberal Democrats. You'll be hearing more about Sen. Doug Berger in this space, soon, as he is too liberal for North Carolina and too liberal for our friends in Franklin County!
