Reader and friend of your blogger, "the good" John Edwards, Republican Party chairman of Franklin County, wrote to say he had a letter printed Saturday in the Franklin Times.
Edwards is the loudest single critic of Sen. Doug Berger (D-Franklin) and frequently challenges him in public. Additionally, Edwards has made a sport of exposing Berger's fallacies on the Franklin County GOP website. In short, Edwards does not pull any punches when it comes to Doug Berger.
Your blogger refers to Doug Berger as "the bad Berger" to differentiate from "the good Berger", Republican Leader, Sen. Phil Berger (R-Rockingham ).
In the following letter, Edwards questions Doug Berger's commitment to workplace safety:
Workplace safety should be a top priority, but disgraced left-wing Democratic state Sen. Doug Berger (left) has sponsored legislation to strip the labor commissioner from enforcing workplace safety laws.
Of course, Berger sponsored legislation to erase criminals’ records, thus allowing them to teach in the classrooms. That went nowhere in the legislature. Hopefully, this latest Berger shenanigan on workplace safety will be defeated, too.
Doug Berger. Just another left-winger who wants to play with people’s lives, because his ego has gotten the best of him.
