The Wit and Wisdom of Bob Dole, Part 1
In this first clip, Bob Dole mentions how he tried to get out of politics but it kept pulling him back in. (Reference for you "Godfather" fans.) He also salutes World War II veterans.
These are only the first three clips. Others will be posted later today. Don't miss Dole's Cameo with the now-disgraced Brittany Spears in a Pepsi commercial at the end of this post.
In the 2nd clip, Dole recounts how a group he is involved with that brings World War II veterans to Washington DC to the WWII memorial. Further, he mentions the service of Frank Buckles, the last surviving World War I veteran. (Your blogger's Great-grandfather, J.R. Weatherly, Sr. was such a vet, but he passed away in 1984 when she was in high school. )
In the third clip, Dole talks of filming the Pepsi commercial with Brittany Spears.
The following clip is the infamous Pepsi commercial, mentioned above. Bob Dole's cameo is at the very end.
