Senate Passes Measure - Bill Heads for Governor's Desk
In House Bill 4's second reading passed 25-16 in a recorded vote. In an apparent "equipment malfunction", the 3rd reading was taken by voice vote with the ayes and nays seemingly equal. Lt. Governor Beverly Perdue, then noted that she would send the bill "by very special messenger" to the governor. More to come. The day isn't over yet.
House Passes Measure - Bill Headed for Senate
In a 61-44 vote, House Bill 4, House Committee substitute just passed its third reading, sending it to the state senate. Stay tuned.
